J Long party of 2 had dinner at Cafe Amici and rated
the mixed grill, gnocci gorgonzola as excellent because, "selection,
quality and variety" and writes on January 18, 2007, "As visitors to
Sarasota and avid walkers in downtown districts we expected to have
a variety of dinner options. We were so pleasantly surprised with
Cafe Amici we came back for dinner the next night also. We tried the
assorted cheese plate as an appetizer which with a glass of the
Sangeovese was incredible. Both the mixed grill and the gnocci
gorgonzola were among the best we have ever had. The lemon gelato
and strawberries with cream were delightful and ending the meal
while sitting outside savoring Limencello and Strega could not be
beat. Learn a bit of Italian and say "Bueno Sera" to the family's
patriarch and greeter at the door."
