Blues
The
17th Annual Giving Hunger the Blues is Sunday March 25, 2012 on
Hillview Street, Southside Village from 12:00- 8:00 P.M. Giving Hunger
The Blues is an all day family and charity block party with
entertainment and fun for all ages. Get together with your friends and
neighbors for a great day out and give something back to our community.
Live bands on two stages, one exclusively showcasing youth bands under
the age of eighteen. Martial Arts and dance demos, games and activities
for children, delicious food and beverages from local restaurants.
Giving Hunger The Blues raises money and awareness for hunger in our
community.
All proceeds benefit the All Faiths Food Bank.
Admission is $5 (children 12 & under free).
Each $5 donation provides 8 meals to the hungry in Sarasota!
Our mission is to feed, protect and nurture the children in our
community.

To feed, nurture and protect the children in our community.
In Sarasota County, one of the most affluent communities in Florida, one
out of ten of our neighbors combat hunger every day…of those, 33% are
children.
