Sarasota County has over 120 parks encompassing over 3,000 acres. Most facilities are open 7 days a week 365 days a year.

Adults make use of the tennis and racquetball courts. There is a lot of open space available for picnics, walking, and playing as well as lakes for those who enjoy fishing. Many special events are held on the grounds including, but not limited to: weddings, trade shows, corporate picnics, seminars, dog shows, musical events, and even a circus made its way to Twin Lakes Park.
