Dave Laver party of 2 had dinner at Steak and Ale and
ordered Prime Rib and Lobster/ Ribeye Steak and rated the food poor
because, "The Prime Rib tasted like wild game or it was just
spoiled." and writes on March 28, 2007, "This used to be a great
restaurant with ok service. It has turned into a complete mess. I
think the Prime rib I ordered was spoiled. The lobster tail was
about 2 ounces and was tough and over cooked. My friends Ribeye was
tough and stringy and also had a bit of an odor. The service was
slow for some reason. The restaurant was empty and had many burnt
light bulbs. The mens bathroom had mold all over the sink and
smelled of urine. I am so dissapointed this old favorite has gone
down hill. Hopefully this will help the management decide its time
to re think our ideas. I wont be going back."

Lobster tails and rated the food excellent because, "Prime Rib at
its BEST" and writes on September 3, 2006, "We had dinner at Steak
and Ale last Saturday and were very surprised how good this
restaurant was. The service was very complete and the food was
served hot and with wonderful flavor. The building is a bit old and
could use some updating. It was very clean as far as we could see.
We have never been to this Steak and Ale but were told by some
friends about the Prime Rib and Lobster. I have had prime rib in
many restaurants but this tops them all. Flavorful and very tender.
The Lobster tails were a bit small but were very affordable. Drinks
were made very well if you like a old school drink. I had a draft
beer and it came in a frozen glass perfectly served. I will now
recommend this spot to all of my friends and business partners."
