Anonymous writes on 6/1/2003 that they rate the food
poor because, "Our burger buns were scorched and give our food a
very bitter taste. Salad was wilted and a day old. Service was
attentive but food ( our two burgers) was prepared without care,
otherwise our food would not have been scorched and bitter. Coke and
Diet Coke were flat, without carbonation. Nobody on duty to correct
the problem, fortunately server found bar sodas were on separate
system and was corrected. Our server was the only bright spark in an
otherwise poor experience. Never again!" Diane writes on 1/7/2003: "We parked in the back lot
and walked through to sit outside in the front. No one noticed we
were there for maybe 5 minutes, then a clearer and a waitress both
tried to wait on us, but could find no menus. After that though,
everything went fine. We ordered off the one menu they found (the
night before had been New Year's, so menus had "walked off"). We had
spinach/artichoke dip which was mainly pure spinach (which we happen
to like, but others might not). We ordered a grouper sandwich/crab
cakes and fries/and some sort of chicken wrap and fries. All were
excellent. Fries maybe a little greasy, but homemade I believe. The
crab cake was browned perfect to my liking, but very moist and
seemed freshly made (much better than the previously frozen ones
most people rave about at Captain Curt's - which I don't
understand!) The bun was soft. The sauce perfect. The chicken wrap
was huge, so took half home. The sandwich was excellent also. Great
place!!! Will return!!--laid back Siesta style we've grown to
love..." |
