Bob Tymoczko party of 4 had dinner at Coaster's
and rated the fish dishes as fair because, "The taste was good,
but vegetables, etc., were barely warm." and writes on April 15,
2006, "The tone of our evening was set by the hostess, a sullen
teenaged girl who obviously was not happy to be there. She paid
no attention to our mentioning our reservation, then basically
ignored us while motioning us to a table. The waiter seemed to
be in a hurry, asking for our dinner orders at the same time
that he took our drink orders. Then when our food came, one of
my friends got some other kind of fish, not the salmon that she
had ordered. After we had informed the waiter, the manager came
to our table, supposedly to assess the situation, but mostly she
seemed to be scanning our plates, as though she thought one of
us was eating the salmon instead of our own meal. At no time did
anyone apologize for the error or offer my friend anything to
make up for the long wait she had to get her correct meal. All
in all, it was a very unpleasant experience. Coaster's has
declined a great deal from the type of establishment that it was
a few years ago."

Don Arernz party of 2 dined at Coasters on
1/9/2005 and rated the food fair because, "poor service" and
writes on January 22, 2005: "We had a waiter that did not seem
to want to do his job and we had lousy service. I had the
seafood wrap which was not bad. My wife ordered a blackened
shrimp on a spinach salad. The shrimp were good but they drowned
the salad in too much dressing. Ugh! It was 80 degrees and we
ate out on the deck and the highlight was to see the drawbridge
go up for a large sailboat."
Larry Middendorf rated the food good because,
"Food was very good, but no bread and lied about being out" and
writes on 10/22/2004: "We have eaten at the restaurant 3 years
straight, using an Entertainment card. Food is always good,
little pricey, but the service is always poor. Have spoken with
others in the are and all stated POOR service."
